Training Collective Coordinator(s)

Location: Edinburgh (multiple venues – see below)

Hours: Part-time, term-time evening and weekend work, plus summer school programme

Reports to: Director of Training & Education

Wage: £15.00 per hour / £8,190 salary per year / average 10.5 hours per week

The International Entertainment Collective (IEC) delivers high-quality performing arts training to children and young people (ages 8 to 15 years old) through a mix of weekly classes at Fierce Theatre School, summer programmes at The Beyond Broadway Experience, and seasonal performances such as The Spirit of Christmas. We’re seeking a number of enthusiastic and organised Training Collective Coordinators to join our team and ensure smooth operations across our Training Collective hubs.


The role

As a Training Collective Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for students and parents during sessions. You’ll manage reception desks, maintain registers and provide essential administrative and safeguarding support. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, creative environment and enjoys working with young people and families.

Key responsibilities:

  • Set up reception/welcome desks and event signage.
  • Manage student registers and track attendance.
  • Answer reception calls and liaise with parents regarding absences.
  • Check students in/out of sessions and events.
  • Maintain First Aid accreditation and provide onsite support.
  • Ensure PVG Disclosure compliance and record safeguarding incidents.
  • Assist with light admin tasks.
  • Support auditions, rehearsals, and performances throughout the year. 

Locations & Schedule

  • Fierce Theatre School (Edinburgh College, Granton Campus): Tuesdays 5:30–9:30pm & Saturdays 8:30am–1:30pm (term-time).
  • Beyond Broadway Associates (George Watson’s College): Monthly Sunday sessions 12.30–4.30pm.
  • Beyond Broadway Experience: Seasonal rehearsals and performances, fortnight intensive summer school programme plus two performances.
  • Spirit of Christmas: Seasonal rehearsals and performances, Sundays 5:30–9:30pm October-December.
  • Additional auditions and events scheduled throughout the year. 

Person specification

Essential: 

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic IT skills (email, spreadsheets, SharePoint).
  • Willingness to obtain PVG Disclosure and First Aid certification (training provided).
  • Reliability and flexibility to work evenings/weekends as required.

Desirable:

  • Experience in an educational or performing arts environment.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding procedures.
  • Previous customer service or front-of-house experience.
  • Access to own car.
